Vintage ring in yellow gold and garnet cabochon

18k (750°/°°) gold ring set in its center with a garnet cabochon of approximately 6.2 carats (probably pyrope), the top of the ring is enhanced with gadroons on either side of stone. Probably French work from the 1970s/1980s.
