CARTIER Jade Plaque Brooch with Diamonds

Brooch in 18k (750/1000) white gold and platinum composed of a central plaque in carved and pierced jade depicting an animal scene. The brooch is supported by an oriental-inspired motif in braided gold wire set with 11 fine-quality, slightly graduated brilliant-cut diamonds weighing 0.65 to 0.8 carat each. French work from the 1950s. Signed Monture Cartier, with the maker's mark R M and a mill for MEUNIER. Eagle's head and dog's head hallmarks for the gold and the platinum. Sold in its original box.
