Fuset y Grau Barcelona Bracelet in Yellow Gold, Ivory, Tortoiseshell and Diamond

Bracelet in 18k (750/1000) yellow gold, centred on an ivory cameo depicting two figures in the antique manner, with a bouquet of flowers set at its centre with an old cut diamond. The cameo rests on a shaped tortoiseshell plaque. The bracelet is decorated with a Louis XVI-style bow, floral motifs and curved lines. Catalan Art Nouveau work circa 1915. Owl's head hallmark for 18k gold items of foreign or uncertain origin. The cameo shows a slight deformation, which does not affect its appearance but makes its fit in the mount slightly imperfect.

Fuset y Grau was one of the two leading figures (with Masriera) of the Barcelona modernista jewellery movement, the equivalent of Art Nouveau in France. Its excellence was rewarded at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, where it was invited to exhibit its creations in 1925
