Art-Nouveau medal in yellow gold depicting the Virgin by P. Lasserre
Almond-shaped medal in 18K (750°/°°) gold representing the Virgin in a floral decoration typical of the Art Nouveau period. The medal is signed P. Lasserre for Firmin Pierre Lasserre, sculptor born in Barraute on July 6, 1870, died in 1943, was a student of Aimé Millet (1819 - 1891) and Albert Bréauté (1853 - 1939). He exhibited at the Salon of French Artists and won bronze medals in 1921, silver in 1923 and gold in 1927. French work from the beginning of the 20th century. Presence of the eagle's head hallmark for 18 carat gold and trace of the manufacturer's hallmark.
