1930 medal depicting a miraculous virgin in gold
18k (750°/°°) yellow gold medal depicting the Virgin.
Created during the 2nd apparition of the Virgin to Saint Catherine in 1830, this medal represents the Miraculous Virgin on the terrestrial globe, her arms outstretched, crushing with her foot a snake symbolizing evil. On the back, the “M” of Mary, surmounted by a cross, is surrounded by 12 stars symbolizing her crown and her power over Creation. Below, the hearts of Jesus and Mary from which two flames rise, evoke the love shown to men. Offering this baptism medal means placing a child under the protection of the Virgin.
