Pair of old Savoyard gold hoop earrings
Pair of Savoyard hoop earrings called Tarines in 18k (750°/°°) yellow and white gold decorated with a chiseled floral decoration. These earrings, typical of Savoyard culture, probably date from the end of the 19th century or the first part of the 20th century. They were originally worn by Savoyard peasant women in the Tarentaise valley, hence their name; tarines.
